Peaceful nuclear applications foster specialised education and high-level capacity building through international fellowships and research training. By providing access to nuclear research reactors and laboratories, the IAEA and its partners train thousands of scientists, engineers and technicians in STEM fields annually. This knowledge transfer empowers developing nations to build their own scientific infrastructure, bridging the knowledge gap — and ensuring that advanced technical skills contribute to local economic growth, scientific self-reliance and the development of a highly skilled workforce.
